About
"It's not what you look at that counts, it's what you see." Henry David Thoreau
Humans have a practical sense of vision that evolved to enable our survival. It stops motion, ignores reflections, lets us walk through shadows. But we pay a price for this survival-oriented sense of vision. It often makes us oblivious to the beauty that lies in ambiguity. I use photography as a tool to reveal hidden beauty. My favourite images are extraordinary scenes that hundreds of people may have walked by without even noticing. I hope these photographs will inspire people to look at the world in a new way and find the jewels that are hiding in plain sight. |
